Destroy What You Love

Naturally- I'm talking about in your art. Although I like to relate my art advice to life outside the studio, I can't think of a way this relates to anything but in your paining. :)

The idea is simple: we get so caught up in the little things that we love that we neglect to look at the entire painting- and without doing that the composition will never work.

Furthermore, what better way to discover new things that we enjoy in our work?
